AutoPlay release 26.7.1: built around your day

Written by AutoPlay Team | Aug 2, 2026, 9:00:00 PM

Version 26.7.1 is live across AutoPlayAuto.com. You do not need to do anything to get it. Log in and it is there.

There is a larger change underneath it. AutoPlay is moving into a new chapter, and a refreshed look is working its way across the platform: cleaner, more considered, and built around the way your team actually spends its day. Dashboards that bend to your workflow instead of the other way round. Information sitting where you expect to find it.

Six things landed in this release. Here is what each one changes on the floor.

Your listings, as cards you can read

Grid view on the Listing Dashboard now uses the same card style as the new Lead Dashboard, so the two parts of the product finally look related.

The front of a card gives you the photo, price, year, make, model, variant and stock number. Badges tell you how many photos are loaded, how many leads are live on that vehicle, and whether it is out on a test drive or a loan right now.

Turn the card over for yard, body, transmission, fuel type and the dates that matter, with quick actions to add a lead, book a test drive or open the full listing.

There is a selection mode as well. Tick the cards you want and act on the lot at once, rather than working through them one at a time.

The pipeline, laid out in lanes

The Lead Dashboard has a swimlane view now, sitting alongside the list you already use.

Leads become cards, arranged into vertical lanes that match your sales pipeline stages. Rather than scrolling a flat list and assembling the picture in your head, you see the whole pipeline at once: what is banking up, and where it has gone quiet.

The card data is identical to list view. Same information, better shape.

Test drives, from licence to signature

Test drives create more paperwork than anyone wants. The Test Drive Wizard takes the whole thing in one guided flow, starting at driver licence capture and finishing with a signed agreement.

Seven steps, in order: customer information, second driver, vehicle confirmation, start date and time, declarations, privacy, acceptance. Signing for both the privacy statement and the terms and conditions happens on screen or by SMS.

Sales managers will care most about the conflict warnings. If the car is already out with somebody else, the wizard says so before you book it, rather than after the customer has arrived.

Every conversation with a lead, in one thread

Lead Detail now shows a lead's communication history as a single thread, the way a messaging app would, with email and SMS in the order they actually happened.

You can start a call straight from the panel too. No more opening one section after another to work out who rang whom and when. You look once and you know where things were left.

Put the Lead Detail panels where you want them

The panels on Lead Detail can be dragged into whatever order suits how you work, and the layout you choose is remembered.

A salesperson who lives in Next Actions and a manager who checks Write Ups first no longer have to use the same screen. Nobody scrolls past four sections they never touch to reach the one they do.

Control over who can reopen a closed lead

Closed Won and Closed Lost used to be reversible by anyone who could see the lead, which quietly undoes your reporting. A new role setting fixes that.

Switch on the lead manager restriction for a role and the reopen action disappears from the lead's action header for everyone except users marked as a manager on a qualifying role. Your closed numbers stay closed.

And the smaller things

Fourteen improvements and sixteen fixes went out alongside those six. The ones most likely to matter to you:

  • The lead counter on listing grid cards now counts open leads only, rather than every lead the vehicle has ever had.
  • Listing exports now fire on every listing change, including adding, deleting or reordering images and moving a vehicle between yards.
  • Managers can tag a salesperson directly in appraisal notes, so approval comments reach the right person.
  • The Listing Imports screen lets you show, hide and reorder columns.
  • Bulk prospect imports now create and close prospects that do not already exist, instead of skipping those rows.

This is just the start

26.7.1 is the first visible piece of a larger shift, and there is a good deal still to come. If you are already running AutoPlay, all of this is waiting for you the next time you log in.

If you are not on AutoPlay yet and you want to see any of it working, book a demo.
